FIBArk is America’s longest-running whitewater festival and a beloved Salida tradition. Each year, thousands gather along the Arkansas River to celebrate river culture, adventure, and community.

Volunteers are essential—whether greeting guests, supporting events, helping with merchandise, or keeping the park clean, every role makes FIBArk a safe, fun, and welcoming experience. We’re excited to have you on the team! 🌊🎉

Each Volunteer will receive a VOLUNTEER T-SHIRT, a SINGLE DAY PASS to the festival and TWO DRINK TOKENS!

Volunteer Captains and Kid's Zone Captains will receive a VOLUNTEER HOODIE, 4 SINGLE DAY PASSES to the festival, FOUR DRINK TOKENS, a MEAL during their shift and a $25 Gift Card to LIBERTY HALL!

Waiver

1. Volunteer Acknowledgment
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating as a volunteer for the FIBArk 2026 festival. I understand that my participation may include, but is not limited to:

Physical labor (including lifting, carrying, setup, and breakdown)

Serving or handling alcoholic beverages

Selling goods or merchandise

Handling ticket sales and/or cash transactions

Interacting with event attendees

2. Assumption of Risk
I understand that these activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical injury (e.g., strains, falls, cuts)

Accidents related to equipment or event setup

Risks associated with handling or serving alcohol

Interactions with the public

I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation.

3. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge FIBArk Community Paddling Center, its directors, officers, employees, organizers, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

Any injury, illness, or damage I may sustain while participating

Any loss or theft of personal property

Any actions taken by me during volunteer activities

4. Alcohol Service Responsibility
If I am involved in serving alcohol, I acknowledge and agree that:

I will comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws

I will check identification where required

I will not serve alcohol to minors or visibly intoxicated individuals

I will follow all instructions provided by FIBArk regarding alcohol service

5. Medical Treatment Authorization
In the event of an emergency, I authorize FIBArk to obtain medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to do so. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred.

6. No Compensation
I understand that I am volunteering my time and services without compensation and am not an employee of FIBArk.

7. Photo and Media Release
I grant FIBArk permission to use photographs, video, or recordings of me taken during the event for promotional, marketing, or other lawful purposes without compensation.

8. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless FIBArk from any claims arising from my actions or conduct during the event, including but not limited to negligence or failure to follow event policies.
